I LOVE AVOCADO
There..I’ve said it…I love them. I’m obsessed. L.O.V.E. them.
They really are the vegans bestie. Going out for breakfast you can always get a side of Avocado with some tomatoes and toast….its kind of annoying when you can do it yourself at home for far less $$ but ..its always yummy, and really nutritious.

Here’s one of my favourite Avocado recipes. and its a DESSERT!!
You can serve this up to people who have no idea they’re eating avocado and will want more. (Always ask if they’re allergic to avocado at some point during the night, but don’t let on about your desert surprise)
I usually serve it with some soy or coconut yoghurt or coconut ice cream and whatever berries are in season, or some frozen raspberries.
Cut avocado in half and remove pit. Scoop out flesh and put it in the blender along with the remaining ingredients.
I find I don’t often have to use the non dairy milk. Sometimes I add a little more maple syrup if the taste is too avocado-y or sometimes just a little more cacao powder.
Process until smooth, occasionally scraping down the sides. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
You can also shave some dairy free dark chocolate on the top, it looks amazing and adds just a bit more glamour to the desert.
*Try to get a good organic cacao powder (with powder the fat or cocoa butter has been pressed out). It is highly nutritious; packed full of potassium, selenium, magnesium and B vitamins.
