I’m in love with this brownie
Truly. Madly. Deeply. This is the sexiest brownie in the world. The Sofia Vergara of the brownie world. (I like women, so if you’re a man lover..pick yours..the Johnny Depp of the brownie world..whatevs)…this is a-sexual, its the brownie to beat all brownies…deelish and a no fail. A friend sent me this recipe ages ago and I’ve made them a few times and they are always a winner! and again…AVOCADO!!
- 120g plain flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tblspn cacao powder
- 150g 85-90% dark chocolate (no milk solid vegan chocolate)
- 150g vegan butter (I use nuttelex original)
- Heres the thing with the sugar..you call it… I dont like white sugar and try to avoid processed sugar so I use option B
130g white sugar plus
50g brown sugar
180g panela/rapidura sugar or coconut sugar
1tsp pure vanilla
180 pureed (no lumps) avocado..usually about 2 avo’s.
Preheat your oven to 180C or 350F
In one bowl whisk together flour salt and cacao
In a double boiler, or a bowl placed over a pot of simmering water, melt the chocolate and the marg. Once that’s melted remove and mix in the sugar and vanilla, making sure there are no lumps(there won’t be)
Puree your avocado in a food processor or bamix. there has to be absolutely no lumps in the avo, so best to use a mixing tool. you could mash with a fork then use a hand held mixer if you have no food processor.
Add the avocado to your chocolate /marg/sugar mix.
Next…FOLD in the flour mix, DO NOT OVERMIX.
Pour it into your prepared baking tin and bake for approx 25 minutes. In my oven it took 25 mins, but your could be more or less. They do continue to bake when they come out from the oven. Skewer inserted should come out fairly cleanly.
Let them cool COMPLETELY before slicing into 12 or 16 squares.
